Learning Steps
What are the learning steps to become a Communication Agent?
Here is a brief outline of the Communication Agents Path providing some indicative reference duration for each project phase:
1) Focus
Duration: 72 hours
Objective: Define your initial Communication Agent direction and theme.
In this first phase you define the focus of your site, and we identify the theme, title, taglines and style for it. A clear mission is set out though it will remain open for change and updating. You define your initial content categories and their descriptions as well as provide images and content for your About and Contact pages.
2) Post
Duration: 2-4 weeks
Objective: Take control of your site and start publishing content online.
Phase two launches you online with no restrictions. You can start posting articles, making links and including images and photos in your content. The moment you click “Publish”, it goes online. In this phase you familiarize yourself with the writing and posting workflow and you will get an immediate feeling of how much you will be able to be effective in the following weeks. You will learn to use all of the basic posting facilities as well as the facilities to edit, refine, add reference hyperlinks and visual spice to your articles.
3) Sync-up
Duration: 2-4 weeks
Objective: Deploy intelligent agents to search, filter, gather, and bring back to your email inbox up-to-date news and content from your personal list of resources.
You need to manage the inflow of information selectively and deploy intelligent agents to bring back customized news and content from your quality circle of preferred sources. There is information out there you will need. Find out who has it and make it arrive automatically at your "command station". Keep up with both the mainstream news media and the independent reporters and news outlets. Select your sources and have up-to-date information arrive automatically in your email.
4) Extend your reach
Duration: 2 weeks
Objective: Make the news. Submit your content and integrated news feed (something that comes with the site, called an XML/RSS feed – nothing to install) to key news and content syndicators.
This phase allows you to effectively submit your content articles and headlines to potentially hundreds of other related online Web sites. Reach out to discover yet others out there. Make your message reach even those you didn't know. Slowly work at building a resource as good or better than the mainstream ones available out there. It’s possible indeed.
5) Interconnect
Duration: 2-4 weeks
Objective: Seek and team up with like-minded individuals. Find out who else is there already in your field and LINK UP WITH THEM.
Using a number of methods and technologies including traffic monitoring, trackback, comments, blogosphere search tools and online social networks start finding other individuals on your same communication path. You start tell others more proactively what you're doing and why you are seeking teammates/partners.
6) Gear-up
Duration: 1 month
Objective: Prepare for concerted communic-action activities to be promoted online and to be supported by your selected network of CAs.
Prepare, setup, organize, plan publishing, collaborating and exchange initiatives bringing forward the best talented communicators in your pool to identify key tactics to be used in attacking the selected issue from multiple diverse points.
7) Become Sustainable
Duration: 1-3 months
Objective: Promote, design and support funding and sponsor-based initiatives that allow your supporters to give you the means to bring your campaigns to success. Learn and find out by trying out several alternative opportunities that can finance and generate income for your CA mission.
8) Graduate
Duration: 1 week
Objective: Sum up and contribute the steps taken to arrive where you are to leave a trace of best practices, tips and advise to be used by those who will follow you.
Learn and find out how to generate large donations for your campaigns and communication efforts. Design a campaign and the funding and sponsorship resources to make it sustainable.
Graduation allows the preservation of the unique know-how created by each unique would-be Communication Agent for others to tap into and learn from. This simple process of reporting, organizing and sharing is valuable for both the graduating student as well as for all other Communication Agents involved in the project. The best practices, tricks and little lessons learned during the path provide an enormous quantity of fresh valuable information that can be rapidly put to use by others.
Total duration of the learning path:
The path is projected to last 9 to 12 months, though each individual would-be Communication Agent will be able to move at hir own most comfortable pace.
*Draft*
After graduation:
Now that the network is in place, and communication is freely flowing among the small mind ecosystem you have created, a full communication attack utilizing smart mobbing, concerted blogging, rapid swarming and flocking can be brought about effectively in a very short period of time and in best cases in complete real-time.
(To be further refined and developed)

What Will Robin Good Do For Me?
What will Robin Good do for me?
Good question indeed!
As the initiator of this CA Initiative I am committed to give my personal, one-on-one assistance to all of the participants in this initiative. Obviously the initial participants in this project will have much greater opportunity to interact with me than the ones that will come in the future, as I will be passing on my know-how to the best and most skilled ones to take on my role at some point in the future.
As you have probably read elsewhere I am offering you a learning partnership. This means that I am as committed as you are to make this project a succesfful and valuable experience for both. Yes, I want to be your personal communication coach and get you to a position where your desire to affect meaningful change is effectively realized.
I will help you establish your own presence online in the first 72 hours of our learning program, and throughout our learning journey I will give you all of the precise pointers on what to do to proceed quickly and smoothly in becoming an effective Communication Agent.
In the very first days of your signup I will work very closely with you to define and understand your mission and direction. We will work together to define your categories and to personalize your Communication Agent Web site organization and key content.
I will also take care of everything you need to become an effective communicator without you having ever to worry about HTML, FTP, coding, file transfers, etc.
I am responsible for continuosly researching and innovating upon the technology solutions and methods will be utilized by Communication Agents. It is self-evident that being in a closely-knit partnership with me you will hear a lot about what I discover and how you can best implement it in your research or communication strategy.
Finally I will be happy to facilitate your networking with other unique individuals that are in my network of contacts and to personally help you achieve your personal objectives.

The Learning Partnership: What's In It?
What does your Learning Partnership provide me with?
This is not a training course, where you pay, get some materials to study, do some online meetings, exchange quite a few times by email and that is it.
This is indeed a collaboration agreement between me and you toward making a specific online communication project real.
I have chosen to consider you a partner in that the objective you are trying to achieve through my support is, in great part, also my own. The more successful you are at working hard to change the world for the better, through effective communication tools, the better we all are.
I guess there couldn't be a better way of doing this than collaborating.
Here is what you are getting from me in the name of this Learning Partnership:
a) A clear learning path made of nine specific steps to be taken in sequence. Each step may include writing or research/planning work on your side, the adoption of one or more new tools and the application of selected principles to your communication project. (Steps are communicated to you by email and remain accessible also online in a reserved area. You are also invited to take up your issues and to meet up and discuss them with peer Communication Agents.)
b) Live audio-video one-one sessions with me online. Completely at my cost. Yes! I will meet and work with you one-on-one in my virtual rooms somewhere out there on the net in which we can talk with better sound quality than on the telephone, see each other if we want to and share the view on project documents or web pages as we may need.
c) My personal insider view and unrestricted advice. Lots of good reference material, examples to study, imitate and refer to. You will not feel left alone.
d) Direct support from my team of unique associates and from fellow Communication Agents working on the same path. A private space will allow all of the Communication Agents to support each other and to submit questions and ideas to a reserved online space.
"With this learning path with Robin Good you get not only to learn the most up-to-date, efficient, smart, state-of-the-art methods to sync-up, link, network and swarm around key issues, but you effectively learn how to affect social change and instigate action in your area(s) of interest. "

What Happens After You Graduate?
What Happens After You Graduate?
After you graduate as a Communication Agent there are several roads open to follow:
a) Work on specific Campaigns and Initiatives.
b) Move up to the next level of Communication Agents - Scout.
c) Become a Guide, Expert or Advisor to new Communication Agents going through their first year.
d) Become an independet self-publisher.
d) Set up your own online shop and start selling your great know how, writings, music and art.
All working Communication Agents interact directly with me in this design and definition process, and they do have quite a say in how I finally implement and structure this operation.
I am still working at refining and developing these in detail. If you wish to give me a hand on this one, you are very welcome to send me a note at Wannahelpyou#masternewmedia.org (make sure you replace the "#" with an appropriate "@").

CAs Can Make A Profit
< br>
Can I Make A profit Once I Get Good At This?
Once a Communication Agents has graduated to full status sHe can choose to proceed in several directions not exclusive among themselves. One of these includes the opportunity to build, astep-at-a-time, a well thought-out online shop to create a parallel, personal stream of income for each Communication Agent who wishes to do so.
In my initial vision, the opportunity for creating profitability for each Communication Agent will be built initially upon:
a) Sales of books through affiliate/associate partnership (e.g.: Amazon Associate program)
b) Merchandising shop
c) Sales of Robin Good Guides and Reports
d) Self-publishing and online sale of specialized news feeds, newsletter, mini-guides, dossiers, reports, etc.
e) Offering of expert advice and consulting services
f) Online sales of personal art, music or othe intellectual property
The above are all optional and each CA selects the ones sHe wants to adopt/support on hir Web site. These and other addtional ones yet to be identified opportunities will give a concrete opportunity to each Communication Agent to build, with time, hir own sustainability.
No interruption advertising in the form of banners, promoboxes or pop-ups will be accepted on Communication Agents Web sites. Text ads like Google Ad-Sense are also off limits for us.
The Communication Agents do not support traditional, interruption-based advertising!
